Privacy Policy

Your data is yours. Learn how Trial Ghost protects your privacy.

1. Introduction

At Halder Digital Assets, we built Trial Ghost to give power back to the consumer. A core part of that mission is respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Trial Ghost Chrome Extension.

2. Data Collection & Local Storage

Trial Ghost operates on a strict "Privacy First" model. We do not track your web browsing history, and we do not scan the websites you visit.

All subscription and free trial data that you manually enter into the extension (such as service names, expiration dates, and prices) is saved locally on your own device using Chrome's local storage API. We do not transmit your subscription list to our servers, nor do we sell it to third parties.

3. Google API Services Usage & Disclosure

Trial Ghost Premium offers an optional feature that syncs your subscription cancellation reminders directly to your Google Calendar. If you choose to enable this feature, the extension will request specific permissions:

  • Email Address: We request read-only access to your Google email address strictly to verify your Premium subscription status via our Gumroad payment backend.
  • Google Calendar: We request access to your Google Calendar strictly to create, update, or delete the specific reminder events for the trials you manually enter into the extension. We do not read or modify your other personal calendar events.

Sharing and Disclosure of Google User Data: We strictly do not share, transfer, sell, or disclose your Google user data (including your email address, authentication tokens, and calendar events) to any third parties, external servers, affiliates, or advertising platforms. Your data is used exclusively to provide the core functionality of the Trial Ghost extension.

Google API Limited Use Disclosure: Trial Ghost's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. Data Protection & Security Mechanisms

We employ industry-standard data protection mechanisms to secure your sensitive information and Google user data:

  • Encryption in Transit: All communications between the Trial Ghost extension, Google's APIs, and our premium verification server are encrypted using secure HTTPS/TLS protocols.
  • Secure Token Handling: Google OAuth authentication tokens are never collected, logged, or stored on Halder Digital Assets servers. They are managed securely and entirely locally by your browser's native chrome.identity API.
  • Local Sandboxing: Your personal trial data is isolated and protected within your browser's sandboxed local storage environment, preventing unauthorized access by other websites or extensions.

5. Third-Party Payment Processing

We use Gumroad as our secure payment processor for Trial Ghost Premium upgrades. When you purchase Premium, you do so via Gumroad's secure checkout. Halder Digital Assets does not collect, store, or process your credit card information. Gumroad notifies our server of your subscription status using only your email address.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Because your trial data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it. You can delete individual subscriptions directly within the extension's dashboard. If you uninstall the Trial Ghost Chrome extension, all locally stored data associated with it will be immediately and permanently deleted from your browser.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document.
